What's New?

I feel like I haven't written a Blog Post for a long time!  So, while my two boys are asleep I am getting my chance.

It has been a busy time at Little Indigo in the last few weeks.  I have just finished my first season of buying, which was really exciting.  I still find it a little strange that I am able to pick out clothing that will be worn next Summer!  Winter deliveries have also started to arrive, plus I am continually on the look out for new labels and gorgeous handmade products that would be a perfect fit for the Little Indigo store. 

And planning is well under way for my first big show, the Baby and Toddler Show!  Only one month away now! 

Below are some of the new things that have been added to the Little Indigo store in the last few weeks.

Big Week!

It has been an exciting week for Little Indigo!  To see my little website in Shop 4 Kids was such an exciting experience.  Starting a new business is hard work, and the process can sometimes be peppered with moments of self doubt, so to be included in such a great magazine made me feel as though I may be on the right track :)

Here I am!!

I have also been busy ordering in the Winter Stock for Little Indigo and also placing orders for Summer 2012 (can you believe it!!)  I will be introducing several new labels to the Little Indigo store which I am very excited about.  I will reveal more soon.

We also introduced some gorgeous pieces to the store from the label Olive's Friend Pop.  Such gorgeous designs, they look even better in person!

The other exciting moment of the week was my son's very first day of 4 year old Kinder!  It is official, he is all grown up.  He was very excited, and very brave and had a fantastic day! 

And yes, my 2 year old thought he was going along too :)

Gorgeous New Products and New Photos!

I have received a lot of gorgeous new products in the mail this week, which have all finally been loaded onto the Little Indigo website!  We have adorable dresses from And the Little Dog Laughed, cute notebooks and bags from Long and the Short, a great new range of blankets and towels from Mizzle, and the most beautiful artwork from The Little Humbugs!!  Have a little look below :)

Gorgeous Quilts by Long and the Short

Today's post is about the beautiful handmade quilts that we stock at Little Indigo.  Each quilt is made from designer fabrics (including the gorgeous Sprout Range of fabrics), by Long and the Short.  I spotted these at a Melbourne Market last year and absolutely loved them. 

We are also introucing a couple of new Quilt designs that you can see below.  And some great news!  All quilts are now available in either a Cot Size or Single Bed Size.  If you require a quote for the Single Bed size or something else a little bit different that you have in mind, please email Jo at info@littleindigo.com.au

Little Indigo Photo Shoot

Last week the very talented Jen from Jennifer McCue Photography sent me the photos from the photo shoot she undertook for Little Indigo.  I fell in love with all of the images, but below are some of my favourites.  I have always loved photography, and even had my own dark room at one point (long, long, long ago!), so I really appreciate the work that goes into creating a beautiful shot.

Hugs & Inspiration - New to Little Indigo

Tonight's blog post is about our gorgeous new range of artwork by Hugs & Inspiration.  These gorgeous 3D paper cut artworks are designed and made in Melbourne.  They come mounted and framed (in an Australian Hardwood Frame) and ready to hang.  They feature designer paper cut outs in gorgeous colours and designs.  So, so beautiful :)  One of these pieces would make a fantastic gift!  Below are some of my favourite pieces from the range:

Organisation, Summer and New Stuff

I haven't written a blog post in a long while.  Christmas and New Year is always a busy time.  So far the year is racing by and I cannot believe it is already edging toward the end of January.  Less than two months until my first Market in March and the nerves are starting to kick in!  Thankfully I have a clever husband, who is also a carpenter, which helps  with some of the preparation:-)

Little Indigo will also be launching some new products this week.  First of all we have the gorgeous Cuckoo for Coco Dolls & Owl Cushions. So, so pretty...

 

Secondly, we are also launching the new "Shabby Chic" apron range from The Dalli Cottage Collection.  These aprons are beautifully made and are sized to fit 3-6 year olds.  Each apron is unique, which I love! (A big thanks to Lily for being such a great model)

We will also be introducing a new range of artwork this week - all designed and made in Australia.  Here is a sneak peek, more to be revealed soon.....
